Rain is crazy. Part of you just hates the rain, makes
life dreary and you just want to stay inside; then there is the good part of you
that wants to go outside without your coat on and just let it rain on you until
you are soaked to your soul. Then there is the other part of you that loves
Mariah Carey singing all I want for Christmas is you, ok maybe we don't all have
that part, but I do. Anyways I think the rain is awesome. I have to spend most
of my day working today outside and it's pouring. The rain really makes the work
I'm trying to do difficult, but I don't exactly care. I like putting on my big
rain coat, and I really like taking it off and shaking it about in the office I
sit in when I come back inside and it's full of rain drops.

My friend is struggling right now. He was dating this wonderful girl, so
wonderful that he decided he wanted to marry her, however now he's not so sure
about the second part. They have postponed their wedding and he told me last
night they were actually thinking of calling off their engagement and returning
to "dating" to just slow things down. It's so crazy how God calls us all to such
different paths in life. This friend had so many different girlfriends growing
up. He could have any girl in our group of friends and part of me wanted to be
that way too, yet I never had one real girlfriend at all during that time. I had
dates to a few dances and did my share of "hanging out" but nothing serious.
Then I find a wonderful girl and here we are married, basically as issue free as
two people can be, and here my friend is struggling to figure out where God is
calling him and with who. Life's weird, God's plan is confusing, I can't wait to
see the answer key some day, although I doubt they call it the answer key in
heaven.

Well my next appointment is going to be here relatively soon and I have
some loose ends to tie up before that and some wedding thank yous to write, but
if you aren't busy on your next rainy day, take your rain coat off, put on some
grubby clothes and go for a stroll in the rain....af
